Working and finishing Leopardwood
Extremely hard for its weight class, harder than Hard Maple or Hickory, with a corresponding dulling effect on cutters; quartersawn stock is prized for the spotted figure and should be cut to preserve it.
Oil or film finishes both show the spot figure well; commonly used for fine furniture accents, knife handles and turned objects.
Sold as is. Grain, colour and figure vary from piece to piece. Confirm the dimensions your build needs before you buy.
