Own a piece of woodworking history with these exceptionally rare Ironwood live edge slabs – a species that can no longer be legally imported into Canada.
Ironwood (Bobgunnia madagascariensis) is one of the world's densest and most durable hardwoods, with an astounding density of up to 88 lbs per cubic foot and exceptional strength that has made it legendary among woodworkers. These magnificent live edge slabs showcase the wood's distinctive reddish-orange heartwood contrasted with dramatic dark, wavy grain patterns and lighter sapwood.
Due to international CITES regulations protecting endangered wood species and Canadian import restrictions on unprocessed hardwoods with bark, these Ironwood slabs represent a finite resource. Once our current inventory is sold, obtaining more is virtually impossible under current regulations.
