Paldao is best understood by how it looks, how it works, and where it should be used. This guide explains the practical buying details before sending you to the right Kingma products.
Overview
Paldao is an imported specialty hardwood. Its natural range is Southeast Asia. Used for flooring, cabinetry, furniture and veneer.
The wood is light to medium brown, in places with a reddish, greyish or greenish tint. Streaks of darker brown or black are common.
The grain is irregular and interlocked. The texture is medium to coarse with a good sheen.
Gives good results with hand tools and machinery. Even with interlocked grain, tearout is less of a problem than with other woods.
Apart from the usual hazards of breathing any wood dust, Paldao has no other reported health reactions.
Paldao should be sold by project fit: colour, workability, durability, and the format the customer actually needs.
Used for flooring, cabinetry, furniture and veneer.
Avoid specifying it by name alone; confirm board size, moisture, colour, figure, and the project environment before buying.
Test finishes on offcuts first, especially when colour, blotching, outdoor exposure, or grain filling matters.
Choose boards, slabs, plywood, blanks, or posts based on the project rather than species name alone.

It depends on density, grain direction, and tooling. Test cuts on offcuts first, and choose Maple, Cherry, Walnut, or Poplar when easier machining is the priority.
